The first International Workshop on Pyrotechnic Combustion mechanisms was organized in 2004. It was created with the aim to provide a complementary forum for scientists and engineers working in the field of pyrotechnics to exchange ideas on pyrotechnic combustion mechanisms. There are annual workshops held in either Europe or USA often adjacent to the annual pyrotechnics seminar of the International Pyrotechnics Society.

WPC. "Advanced Energetic Materials" - June 9th, 2012 in Denver, Colorado
The planned venue for the 9th WPC is the Westin Denver Downtown Hotel located at 1672 Lawrence Street, Denver, Colorado 80202 on the famous 16th Street Mall.
The 9th WPC will be on the Saturday before the 38th International Pyrotechnics Seminar, June 10 – 15, 2012.
